Hello,

On start up, these are the only options F2 & F12. My dell inspiron 5010 would not start up. Basically i have no F8 functionality. Help!

U need to keep pressing F8 at least few times. Try again, it may work : )

Check out This post. You may have to rebuild BCD Record, Reinstall the OS, or replace your HD and reinstall the OS.

Thanks Nikkor, i tried but no luck just confirmed that the harddrive is gone and now working at replacing it. I hope i can recover the data though from my old drive.
