f8 is not working on boot in win7. I press it but there is no response at all. pc continues to boot into windows. i have a registry problem & i want to get into safe mode. I have a repair disc but f2 does not work either.

Is this a laptop? You might have to hold the function key then F2 or F8 (Fn+F8). If it is not a laptop, is your keyboard wireless?
