Fabricating SATA Data Cables

I am currently gearing up for my next and largest custom build. Some of my cable runs are going to be very long and as cleanliness is a priority in this build I would like to know where to acquire the pieces to fabricate my own SATA Data Cables.

I do not want to simply mash two or more sata cables that I have hacked apart together. Ideally, I am looking for where to purchase the male and female ends as well as the flat SATA cable/wire.

Your help in taking my build to the next level is greatly appreciated!

The SATA standard defines the maximum internal SATA data cable length as 1 meter or 39.37 inches. Cables that are too long can cause timing, or noise interference on the cable. If you run into performance or data corruption issues with a cable longer than 39.37 inches you'll know why.

I'll leave the experimenting up to you.
I am looking at runs between 6 & 8 feet, so the connectors from modDIY.com solve for the ends, but I still need the bulk cable and the rubber/plastic covers to finish up the final product?

Does anyone have locations for each of these components?

Okay, well I know I'm almost a year behind on this, but I've been searching for a while for stuff like this for a custom build I've been brainstorming. So far I've only found one place on all the internet that sells spooled bulk SATA data cable. Haven't bought any, don't know what the company is like, all I know is that they list it.

If you wind up ordering some (assuming you haven't gone well beyond that step in your build already) let me know what your experience was like.
