Question facebook what and how

Near the top of the facebook page in the story area, image with create a story, next to it are 2 images which are people that I follow.
How can I add or delete someone in the block ????

Add...? You follow more people. Delete, would be the opposite of that, to my understanding. To add, that block you speak of, will appear as your contacts have something to share.

I don't understand. My picture with + add story and 2 other pics. One was a singer I follow. I just went back and the singers pic is gone, i.e just mine and one other. So does everyone I follow have the ability to be shown in this block, and what would they have to do to appear or disappear ?
