factory reset on an Asus X551C

Have an Asus X551c which stop coming on on windows. i was trying to use the USB Scandisk that come with the machine when i purchased it to do a factory reset but it keep giving me an error that said "UNABLE TO RESET YOUR PC. A REQUIRED DRIVE PARTITION IS MISSING." what can i do to make it work. i replace the hard drive it keep on giving me the same error message. What should i do next?
 
Solution
If you still have warranty on it go back to the store where you bought it or contact asus.

You could download an iso from your windows version,put it on a dvd or boottable usb and reinstall with the productkey on that laptop.With windows 8 might the productkey be stored in the bios so it might not be on a sticker.
Make sure you have the right drivers on a usb stick so you can install those,just to be sure.Get these from the asus site.

Tried tapping F9 when you start the laptop? Maybe there's a recovery partiton with which you can put it to factory default.Could be the partition that's missing though.
