Factory reset SSD

I was told I could do a clean install to erase any viruses I may have got on my SSD. Is a clean install the same as resetting windows in settings, “reset everything “? Also will resetting slow down my SSD much because of the write cycle being used?

Unless you are doing it alot it will not affect the speed or life of the drive.
