Factory Resetting and Hard Drives

Hi,

I have a 120gb ssd which my OS is installed on and a 1tb internal hard drive where I keep everything else. I plan on factory resetting my computer but I'm just wondering if I do so, will it wipe out the data on my hard drive or will it only effect my ssd?

Sorry for this silly question but I just wanted some reassurance before I go ahead with the reset.

If you don't want the HDD to be wiped accidentally, just make sure to unplug it from the motherboard when you are ready to format.

Even if you didn't, if you formatted the SSD it would only affect the SSD.
