So this is a really interesting one lol...

due to well lack of care/being sick and having nothing to do I installed windows 8 developer and after I saw how much it sucked I wanted to reinstall my old OS. my laptop has a recovery partition that is hidden and I dont know how to tell my computer to reinstall windows from it... checked the control panel and no factory rest or anything close...

I really want to solve this and get my lovely windows 7 back and no I dont mind deleting everything so please idea?!

P.S. I managed to get it to look like windows 7 by going into cmd and moving and changing some folders around as shown here

http://pureinfotech.com/2011/10/10/how-to-uninstall-windows-8-developer-preview-and-restore-windows-7-step-by-step/

that should give a little more info where i am...

Good luck and thank you!

Just to keep you posted, I gave Dell a call and tried to work with them and after a few attempts they gave up and said that I can not restore my computer this way so they are sending me a Recovery DVD so I can reinstall windows.

I guess now that Im getting a free DVD I can screw around with the computer a little more lol

ilikegirls,

Did you get it all back together and running?

I did the same thing. I installed the Windows 8 demo on my Dell N4110. Now I want to restore the factory image that came with my Dell computer. Well the F8 no longer works to bring up the recovery menu.

How did you get it all to work?
