Question Faded colors while using 60hz on 144hz monitor

I've found tons of posts on the internet with problems like "colors washed out on 144hz". But I have a reversed situation on my monitor Acer ED273Awidpx 27" 144hz. Normally I use 144hz refresh rate but there are very few games that work only on 60hz. So when I change refresh rate from 144hz to 60hz the colors are washed out / faded. Is there any solution for it?
