Failed ddr3 ram

I bought a new RAM and I used crucial to see if it was compatible with my pc and it was and so today I went to put it in and I just turned my computer off and put it in then when I tryed to start my computer it turned on but nothing was working (Mouse,Monitor,Keyboard)
So I went to take it out to see if it would work without the new ram and it didn't my original ram lights up and it wasn't lighting up but the computers lights were and all the fans were working any ideas? For mobo it says ECS A68F2P-M4V
