Greetings!
A friend of mine has bought a Seagate Hard Drive with the capacity of 3 Tb.
When he tried to install windows 7 on it, the hard drive only showed 128 gb of free space and the following error: Failed to create partition on selected unused space [Error: 0x8007045d]
Is there a solution to this?
Thank you in advance!

Did you try deleting all existing partitions and create a new one?

There are currently some rumors in german forums about faked HDDs (size smaller than anticipated, faked label, etc) from Seagate / WD, but I dunno if this could be happening here, too.

Hi there kayn15,

I can't really open that website. Could you please upload the image to another one?
How is the drive recognized by BIOS(you can check Disk Management as well)? In case it shows as 128 GB, then there is something wrong wit the drive and you will need to RMA the drive.

It will not hurt to attach the drive with different cables to another SATA port.

Let me know how this goes,
