Failed to install Windows Updates

I am having a lot of trouble installing any windows updates and have been basically since i got this computer, i keep getting the error code 800F0826 for the majority of the updates and for one of them i get 80070103. I have no idea how to fix it, please help!

Ok, it just finished it said it fixed one of the three issues. Service registration is missing or corrupt was fixed but windows update error 0x80070057(2016-12-29-T03_07_22P) and Problems instaling recent updates were not fixed

That was on, when i click view detailed information it says that the update error is fixed but when i go back to the completed page it says it is not. im going to try reinstalling the updates now

Try this. Download the 64 or 32 bit install. Some people fixed this error with this

Looks like malware can also cause this error. Have you scanned your system for malware lately?

im going to run a check right now see if it helps

Try adwcleaner run it then scan. If it picks anything up tell it to remove then reboot. Then run it again the file menu / uninstall

ok i cleaned out all the issues and restarted my computer but still they wont install

Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialogue, then type %SystemRoot% and press Enter.

Scroll down to find the SoftwareDistribution folder. Rename this SoftwareDistributon.old.

Now restart your computer, and attempt the update.

Ok i tried this, i changed it and everything i then tried to search for updates and it loaded for like 3 hours and still is. i tried to run that thing from earlier too and that also took hours. So i don't think it worked

no i got the control panel part i just have no idea what searching update top top is supposed to do

oh okay, yeah i did that already. At this point i think i need to reinstall windows

Ok so if your wondering i fixed it but i never reinstalled windows. I literally have no idea what worked, i installed ccleaner and used that among a host of other things. But it just started working randomly last night so idk.
