I know that RAM handles sleep mode. Can a dying RAM cause some sort of failure to recover from sleep mode? I didn't really set it to hibernate but the error says failed to recover from hibernation which includes an hibernation file sys error code. It came up after fixing one of my computer not waking up after sleep mode was triggered. Fixed this by reseating both RAM.

SYSTEM:
mobo: asus m4n68t-m le v2
RAM: dual channel 4gb (2x2)
procy: Athlon II x2 255
gpu: GT 220

After the successful boot, resource monitor shows svchost or some background process is hogging my RAM at almost 100%.

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? Latest BIOS update for your motherboard? I see you're on Windows 7, have you made sure you're up to date with all the drivers, being manually installed in an elevated command, i.e Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

Hmm.. I've used this OEM PSU my friend gave me. Has no label at all, will stick a labeled and confirmed working one..

NOTE: Please don't judge me as to why I used it. Personal reasons.

I doubt it is the PSU as it's working perfectly before I replaced this system with a new one.. The drivers are all updated yesterday as this is a newly formatted windows 7 ultimate.. But most likely the drivers as the first time it recovered from failure to wake up, it literrally downloads a lot of drivers for my USB powered peripherals like USB mouse, keyboard and soundcard..

Tried to kill the svchost.exe process and it did worked to solve that 100% RAM usage.

About the bios, i have already used this machine for a very long time.. The bios update really isn't needed as this is a very old board that needs replacement overall.

Sorry about the confusing explanation. This is an old PC I rebuilt (my former machine) for my mom's office works.. Been stocked for a couple of months. Newly formatted. Seems getting some problems with some process updating in the background.

Anyways, all good. Let's see what happens next.
