Failure to boot with XMP on gigabyte Z270 Mobo

I have a Z270XP Gigabyte Mobo and a i5-7600k with Cosair Vengeance LPX 3000 memory. I'm trying to enable xmp but when I save and exit it gives me a failure to boot message. I heard of putting the speeds in manually but I cant figure out how. The Mobo manual gives no info and I couldn't find anything online. Thank you

Page 24-25 have some information about setting memory timings in your BIOS. https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-Z270XP-SLI-rev-10#support-manual

DDR4 3000 is considered a overclock and functionality can not be guaranteed. Be aware that the issue might not be the memory, but instead the memory controller (which is on the CPU).

Thanks for your help, i figured out how to overclock the memory but not to XMP levels
