Failure to download files

Although I can connect to the Internet and send and
receive emails, I can no longer download files? I don't
think I have a virus and may have deleted something whilst
fiddling in the registry. Any suggestions?

Have you tried re-installed Internet Explorer 6sp1 or upgrade
to a new version of IE
