failure to ping 127.0.0.1

This morning, I started up my pc and a message popped up that said:
------------------------------------start------------------------------------

Pinging 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
General failure.

General failure.

Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

I had actually uninstalled XePlayer awhile ago, but there were still some files on the pc. I deleted those and restarted. It still gave me the same error.

Right-click on the Windows Start button and select 'Command Prompt".

When the command window shows type -ping 127.0.0.1- and press enter.

Do you get successful or unsuccessful pinging?

I'm not great with Network problems but I suspect something is wrong with your network setup.

Right-click on the Windows Start button and select 'Command Prompt". (Select the one with Admin privileges)

Type -ipconfig /flushdns- and enter.

Ping 127.0.0.1 again.
