Question Faint green line on monitor ?

This line of faint green pixels suddenly showed on my 144hz Dell dS2719DGF that I got about a year and half ago. So far I've tried replugging and restarting the monitor but it's still there.

Any ideas what it might be ? It's only easy to notice against darker background and doesn't show up on the dead pixels test. Apologies for the photo quality.

Check that the display cable is seated properly.
Also, you could try a diferente cable or connect the display cable to a different video output to see if the lines goes away.

I actually first noticed it on my work PC.
Don't have a second DP cable either so I might have to get a new one just to test this.

Just tested it out with an HDMI cable - still shows up. Any idea what might have caused it and is it fixable or I'll have to return it ? (something I'd really prefer not to do)

Connect the monitor to another computer and if it stills shows that line, then is the monitor.
As I said, I first noticed it on my work pc using the same monitor. It's very much the monitor sadly, so I was mainly wondering if it's possible to somehow fix it at home.

Unfortunately, pixels that are permanently off or stuck is a natural defect that can occur in LCD monitors.

Reset monitor to the factory settings using the function buttons in the OSD menu and perform a Self-Test.

Press the Menu button > Select Display > Reset Display
Disconnect all display and USB cables.
-Press and hold the button 3* for 5 seconds. A gray screen appears.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
-Press the button 3 again, the monitor color changes to red.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
-Press the button 3 again, the monitor color changes to green.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
-Press the button 3 again, the monitor color changes to blue.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
-Press the button 3 again, the monitor color changes to black.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
-Press the button 3 again, the monitor color changes to white.
Inspect the screen and see if the line is present.
To exit, press Button 3 again.

If the line line remains the you need to contact Dell and RMA the monitor.

*Button #3 is the third button counting from the monitor stand.
