In the last couple of weeks I have started to notice this faint like across the top of my monitor. It's a BenQ XL2420Z.

I'm 99% sure it's something with the monitor, as I can see it on the BenQ splash screen as I turn it on, even with the DisplayPort cable disconnected. The monitor is like 4½ years old I think.

Does anyone know what could be causing it or how to fix it? Or know if it's a signal that it's dying maybe?

It still works just fine otherwise.

Other people have had this issue but not sure what the solution is as it could be burn in.

This is for another BenQ model and a change of cable worked for one of them..

Sorry I cannot be any more help but hopefully others should jump in.

It looks like burn in could be the issue, it lines up perfectly with Chrome. Thanks for the answer.
