Hi, I've been noticing on my monitor recently that there is a faint white line going horizontally across the screen, it is most noticeable on a grey background. I could be wrong but I think if my monitor is turned off for a while it seems to fade away but I'm not sure. It's been like this for about 2 months or so. Please help if anyone knows how I could fix this without getting a new monitor

Solution
Replace the VGA cable with a more Shielded one and isolate the VGA cable from other Cable and Devices. I too have this problem but with a laptop when the laptop is plugged in the white vertically-scrolling-horizontal-lines, when the laptop is on battery the line disappears. Also try isolating the Monitor power from other devices.
There is no chance to fix it without repacing whole screen, cheper way would be to buy a new one.
You should give it a check with a different cable but i dont think its gonna change anything 😉
