A Vietnamese person has 800 friends on Facebook, including 150 mutual friends with me. Under his posts, I see comments from my (and his) Polish friends who haven’t posted any comments on his profile before. These comments seem somewhat artificial, like "Happy Birthday." He also gets likes from Polish friends. How is this possible? Surely this Vietnamese person hasn’t hacked into 150 Polish accounts? Could it be some kind of script or chatbot posting on behalf of real people without their knowledge?

They did not comment on the post of a person who lives thousands of kilometers away from them and whom they do not know. Their comments and likes arę fake. And the questions is "how is it possible?"

There is no way to really know what is happening.

That person may be conspiring with someone else to get "likes" etc..

There could be malware, AI, or other "bad actors" behind it for whatever reasons....

Who knows?

And probably best left to Facebook to address and resolve if they do such things....

If anything you should report the problem to Facebook.

(Note: I have minimal involvement with Facebook now and many friends and family are giving it up.)

Overall, it is indeed "none of your business" and probably reason enough to "unfriend" that person.

= = = =

In any case, discussing how to do such things is prohibited by Forum rules.

Contact Facebook.
