Going to try and keep this short. I bought a tablet off Wish. I know, I know. The tablet type was listed on other sites like Amazon and Newegg.

The tablet was supposed to be android 9, deca core, 10 g of ram, etc etc. It was spoofed to seem so. I used a few programs to do a variety of tests, filled up the memory and it crashed the program after 1.708 gigs, so I knew it was only a 2 gig ram tablet. I tried to install a program from the Play Store, wouldn't install as it wasn't compatible. So I went to the website to download a previous version. The Android 7, 5, and 4.4 versions wouldn't work. Only the Android 4 version would although the Android 4.4 version did install. So it seems to only have android 4 of some sort.

My Google account says the tablet is a Masstel Tab 10. However, the specs on that tablet do not add up to what I have found out on mine. 1280 is the resolution on Tab 10, I can go up to 1440. 1 gig of ram on Tab 10, I have at least 1.5 or 2. Nougat or Android 7 on Tab 10, I only have 4ish.

So my questions are a few. How do I get rid of the spoofing so I can get the real hardware to show up? (CPU-Z is fooled, Aida64 is fooled etc).

Secondly, I'd like to put the highest version of Android on it that I can. Would really like Android 9 if it would take advantage of the better memory usage etc. How can I do this?

Thank you in advance.

Sorry to hear all that.

At least your post and experience may turn up if anyone googles Wish and/or the tablet.

Yep, from what I see the more you try to save money the more you are likely to spend more on it at the end. Fake flash drives, fake video cards, cheap OS license codes, etc... and even if the product is OK, if it breaks quickly try returning it to the place in China without spending a ton on shipping and wait times. Good idea to stick to the normal retailers to avoid hassles.
Not spoofing.

You were either sent the wrong tablet or perhaps a counterfeit.

Possibly just some thrown together tablet that no one bothered to check.

Or the seller lied.

Send the tablet back.

No point in paying the money to send it back to China. Won't get a refund and anything else they send will just be the same. Looked into it already. I am trying to get Wish to refund it, but so far, no luck. Other people have had their case close multiple times with Wish saying they won't refund. Looking into any lawsuits against Wish as well. So essentially looking to do what I asked, remove the spoofing or the fake file that tells programs like CPU-Z that it's really a deca core with 10 gigs, android 9, 2560x1900 resolution etc when I've pieced together it is not. Pretty sure the onboard storage isn't 256 gigs either. (Bought 2 512 SD cards that were fake fake fake too.) Thank you though.

Anything from "Wish" is assumed to be scam.
Everything.

Aliexpress is the same.
