Falcon 4.0 skyfixes

I don't mind how the default sky looks in my F4+SP4.2+BMS2 setup as
such, but i have a hunch someone said on some webforum that the ambience
lighting parameters are the reason why the terrain doesn't seem to be
appropriately lit. I wouldn't mind that being remedied a bit (rhymes
galore). I don't know exactly how much all them mods i've got are
addressing this issue, but how dark is it supposed to be in the pit at
nighttime. The contrast between the pitch-black night and seemingly
phosphorous markings in the pit are making me blind, my eyes just don't
know what to adapt to, and i must resort to tweaking the settings of my
monitor.

I've understood things have changed in BMS2, so any skyfix one would
wish to use, would have to be specifically made/adapter for that. And
not all Falcon 4 mods and enchantments clearly specify with which
other mods they work with, and all of this modding[1] is basically a
messy pile of kludges. Not that i'd mind, vice versa that's part of
the whole thrill, but at times the way things are structured and
documented makes me think not a lot of the modders have a background
in the Unixen or the "open source software" community, if you know
what i mean.

Either way, it's a fascinating culture. And a rather nice game too!

Im the guy who created the very first "Skyfix" and named it as such.
That was a few years ago now. I dont even fly F4 any more. So fun to
see these old things still discussed!

Sounds like you haven't tried the CobraOne patch then <?>. Or are you
not running FF3? - Can't remember whether CobraOne is compatible with
SP4.
