Fall of cybeertron crashes pc at launch

GOD DAMNIT.
i just bought the game, and after finally installed it i launched it and it restarted my pc\blu-screened, then restarted. i didn't get to play this game 1 minute and i get errors.
basically what happens is that i click "play" on steam, it says it's launching, and then my pc freezes and restarts. i was really looking forward on this game ever since the first one came out and i really want to play it. please reply!!

What is the error code? What are your PC specs?

i don't get an error code, my pc just freezes and reboots, sometimes through blu-screen. as for specs:
radeon 6850 1GB
4GB ram
FX-4100 4.2
550 psu
MOBO- GA-880GM-D2H
pretty much it.

Bluescreen always has an error code.

i don't know dude it restarts faster than i could read it.

Go to bios, and disable automatic restart on failure (it will be worded similarly probably, not the same). You will then be able to read the code.

I'd revert OC first. Does it still Blue screens?

ok so i de-clocked as you said and tried again. my pc crashed even faster this time. my parents know a thing or two and they told me it might be a memory problem or a gpu problem. my ram does give me a little trouble recently and i get this weird shutdowns sometimes when i play battlefield 3 so could it be memory? thanks for the replies btw, and i'm sorry it took me so long.

Yes, I was going to suggest to check your memory after you reverted OC. You can use memtest software for that, and you can download it from www.memtest.org. Make sure to wait for at least 3 passes!

i actually bought 8GB ram long time ago and it's gonna be here tomorrow (i had issues with my memory earlier) and i'm gonna test it when it'll show up. so basically i'll check it when it'll be here and tell you the results.

ok i setup my new 8 gb memory and it's still crashing. *note, i have only my new ram not my old one.
now what?

my whole computer dude! i click play, it freezes and restarts!

Do you own any other games? Does it happen in them?

of course i own more games! not steam though, but it does'nt happen in any of them.

Ok. Can you download Prime95, Furmark and HWmonitor, run Prime95 In-place Large FFT test, Furmark burn in test at the same time and watch the tempertures using HWMonitor?

i already tested my cpu temps and it barely reaches 50 degrees.

That's not for CPU temps. System temps (like GPU) and stability. Test for at least 30 mins.
