I have spent more hours trying to fix the game, then playing it. the worst part of it is that I put 200 hours in it, so there could be something that I'm over looking. The game worked until the survival
overhaul patch. The crash does not give me an event/error message when it crashes instantly after hitting play in the launcher. my specs are the following:

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz Haswell 22nm Technology

RAM: 16.0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Pro4 (CPUSocket)

Graphics: K222HQL (1920x1080@60Hz) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (MSI)

Storage: 447GB PNY CS1211 480GB SSD SCSI Disk Device (SSD)
465GB Crucial CT500BX1 00SSD1 SCSI Disk Device (SSD)

Optical Drives: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSC0 SCSI CdRom Device

Audio: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

The only thing that worked was resetting the OS, so I am hoping that there is an easier way.
