Fallout 4 fps problems

So i have been noticing problems with my copy of fallout 4.
a lot of people (including friends) have almost identical setups as me (I5 4570 and a AMD r9 280x)
but i get such low fps rates while mine are in their 10/20 fps range my friends and benchmark videos on youtube get a steady 60 fps can someone post suggestions too my problem or how to test if a component is failing.

Take a look at your task manager and make certain nothing is running in the background while you're playing. Also, update all of your drivers (including things like audio and motherboard chipset) after using a driver sweeper program to completely remove the old ones.

Are you running the latest beta drivers from AMD? Those are the best ones for performance for Fallout 4.

thanks man i installed the beta drivers today and after doing the driver sweeper and installing everything again it now runs fine.

Try installing also Razer Cortex. It automatically disables a lot of processes automatically for you and restores them all after you are done playing!
