Auto detect picked High settings and I bumped it up one to setting to Ultra. It is running at 60fps but when I look around it is jittery. It doesn't stall but the movement is jittery.

I7 3770K 3.9 Turbo

GTX 780 3GB

8 GB Ram

Any help?

I can do with lower dos than 60 but I like it looking good on ultra.

Solution
I found a comment over on neogaf "Went into fallout4.ini and added iFPSClamp=60 in the general section.".

I tried this and it worked. No more stuttering. I am running on Ultra at a steady 60FPS with I7 3770K, GTX 780, 8 GB Ram for anyone wondering. What a difference to be able to play the game and focus on gameplay rather than glitches.

I am using the latest drivers. I will change settings and report back tomorrow.

I wonder, if it were a hardware deficiency, could I cap FPS lower to maintain the ULTRA settings?

Some people are experiencing micro stuttering. Try changing the game to windowed mode, it fixes that particular issue.

Additionally, try turning down the god rays to medium. People on i7 + 980ti pairings take a 10-20 fps hit when they run them at ultra. Although since you say you are hitting 60 fps, my advice is trying windowed mode first.

EDIT: Just to add, your hardware should be fine to run the game at ultra with one or two settings turned down. The game is very CPU intensive but actually makes use of hyperthreading so your 3770 should really shine.

I will check that out this evening but I want to reiterate that fps remains 60 even with the jitters. Which is why I thought it to be software related.

I change to medium settings and switch to windowed mode and I prepp "OK". I open the options box again and nothing is saving.... I adjusted the settings again and this time I opened Fallout 4 (I figured maybe opening the options menu auto-defaults the settings) and it is not windowed and same issues with jitters.

EDIT: Could Vsync have anything to do with it? I have looked into disabling it and people say it is messing up their game.

Solution
I tried this solution and it DID NOT fix the micro stuttering issue, so I googled some more and found a "PSA" on reddit regarding this so called "fix". It basically says that the clamp messes up internal game speed and such which is a bad thing... it also says the best solution is to use WINDOWED BORDERLESS mode. I tried that and it worked PERFECTLY! ...no more micro stutter!!! anyway thx to vaporsnake on reddit for the PSA, now back to the Commonwealth!
