I went and looked on the system specs for Fallout 4, and it says 8gb of Ram is what you need. Well, I have 8gb of Ram, but when I am playing other games, for example, Batman Arkham Knight, my pc sometimes shuts the program down if the Ram usage gets too high. Will this happen with Fallout a lot? Should I get another 8gbs just to be safe?

Solution
How many other programs do you have running?
Another poster on here had the same problem.
His problem turned out to be 2 instances of firefox open with 27 open tabs, taking up 3 gig of memory and 2 Chrome instances open using another half gig of ram, Several other programs running taking up another gig and a half of ram.
Although he had 8 gig of ram he had 5 of it being used by open programs, and another 1.75 gig in use by Windows, which left 1.25 gig of ram available for his game and video cache memory.

Always close all running programs when you game to free up memory and CPU cycles.
