Fallout new vegas not responding

When i launch it, and new game then i exit the vid then it start loading after a while it says not responding

I have had the same issue and I know this is gonna sound silly but I found if I wait to press play on the launch menu I get the not responding issue but if you hit play the second the launch menu opens the game normally loads up just fine.

It might not work for you but that is what works for me.

go to your fallout newvegas folder open the "Data" folder and delete the "Video" folder im not sure why this works but i remember when i played system shock 2 i did the same thing and it worked my cpu has your exact same problem but just incase u want to see the video file just make a back up of it outside the "Data" folder ^_^ loads fine

Assuming you have it on steam...
-First try running as administrator if not then;
-Steam > Library > right click New Vegas > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache
