False ram change message

When I turn on my pc it says that cpu and ram have been changed and that I need to press f1 to modify settings or f2 to continue. However, I didn't change anything inside my pc, and although my keyboard lights are on I can't click f2 or f1, it just doesn't work. Please help

it it under a year old, and I haven't used the computer for extreme periods of time

So it's not battery problem. Try resetting CMOS. If that will not help, you most likely have some problem with motherboard.
