false shutdown errors in reliability log

i have a new custom built pc and ever since i got it i get daily reports that windows was not properly shutdown example ...The previous system shutdown at 10:59:42 PM on ‎10/‎12/‎2016 was unexpected.

as far as i know i dont have any problems but i have been told this is caused by using ssd'd , i have 2..... should i just ignore the errors reports or do i need to do something to stop them.

Solution

Check the times on the log and see if you can match it up to anything. If you do a proper shut down on the system those messages should not be there. Nothing to do with using an SSD, who told you that and based on what? I use dozens of systems with SSDs in them every week and there are no odd errors about shutdown issues.

MJS, you are not alone!
I am also experiencing false shutdowns recorded and reported from Event Log without users experiencing an unexpected restart or intentionally performing a shutdown.
It began occurring in Q4 2016 for no obvious reason.
If I ever get any info I'll come back to you...

false error update .... I think this is now a case of windows 10 over reacting , I get shutdown errors , driver crash reports , widows failed to respond ( during a game ) I now have windows 10 on 3 different pc and these reports are on them all so I now ignore them . I even get hardware failed reports on a £3,000 games rig , a mid price rig and a cheap guinea rig . I have been a geek for 14 years and think I would know by now if a pc had a problem whilst running.

Mine are happening on Win7 Pro. I suspect that the slow "poisoning" we saw as M$ started pushing XP off the cliff is happening with Win7.
I hate hearing you are getting this on W10.
I'm mostly liking W10 as a user, but various aspects of it (patches, especially) are giving me pause as an admin.

windows 10 is the best op since xp but I hate how ms give you things you don't ask for and cant get rid of such as groove music. also you cant decide what updates you want to reject ( hide ) even though some apss says they can customise ms updates I not found one that works.
