Fan #6 at 100% HIgh Temps!

I can't figure out why my temperatures are so high and I have one fan running at 100% please help. PC is hot in various places and the fans just randomly start spinning insanely fast while idle.

Where is the fan running at full speed connected?

I am unsure ATM if says fan #6 but I have to open the PC when I get home too see

It has to be connected to the motherboard (otherwise the software couldn't detect it), but the header may be configured for maximum speed. Once you know which one, then check its settings in the BIOS.

The PC use to run fine all the time now it's acting up I never once.changed anything inside the BIOS. Could a Windows update have changed my settings?

Windows doesn't control the fan speed, but it costs nothing to check the BIOS settings. The header could also be defective and no longer adjust voltage as per the defined settings. Is the fan connector 3 pins or 4 pins? For 4 pins it should be set to PWM, but some fans work better when set to voltage.

I'll check as soon as I get home. I think it's 3pin. Maybe changing out the fan will fix the problem. But could one fan cause that many heat issues in my pc

Alright I checked the BIOS and everything all fans are set to run at the same speed and all fans in my PC are working fine. I literally can't find a problem...

I mean according to CPUID HWMonitor in these screenshots my PC is working perfectly normal right?

Everything looks fine. You should never run several monitoring applications at the same time and some are better than others. I prefer Intel XTU to monitor the CPU.

Hopefully everything is fine, I mean the PC isn't acting weird at all. No random shutdowns no nothing. Just that one fan would get really loud randomly.

Its a silent case with all noise dampeners

Under load silent cases sometimes are noisier than a case that provides better cooling simply because fans have to spin faster to keep components cool enough. If fan #6 bothers you, you could replace it with a quieter one (presuming it isn't already a quiet fan).

It is a quiet fan, not one of the top of the line fans but its a silent one. I mean its not bothering me now, its weird it like randomly gets really loud, like on start up.

I added a new fan but it still says it's running at 100% and the temp says 127C now... The fan doesn't make as loud of a noise as the other but it's still quite loud. And this fan is a silent fan with the rubber padding

There may be an issue with fan control #6 (there's no such fan name on the motherboard); if it's configured correctly in the BIOS and the fan spins at full speed, then contact Asus and RMA the motherboard. How is the fan configured (PWM or DC, Standard, Silent, Turbo, Full Speed or Manual) and which one is it (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4, EXT1, EXT2 or EXT3)? Is it a DC or a PWM fan?
