One of my forward fan is making a clicking sound when the pc startup. They go 100% until POST, that they go where i set them (40%) and it instantly stops. I tried to fix them, and when the pc is horizontal it does not make the sound.
So i do not understand if i should RMA the fan or maybe its a problem with the case forward chassis, as it is not really normal that when put horizontal there is not the problem. I have 2 videos to show them but i do not know how to load them.

I think what is probably going on is that the fan/bearing isn't seated in its normal running track and you hear the noise until it seats which is why changing the orientation gets rid of it.

If it were me and it bothered me I would replace the fan (I don't think I would RMA it because fans are cheap but that's me). If it didn't bother me...I would just keep an eye on it and make sure it spins up.

I do not really bothered me i am just scared it could damage somethings in the long time other than the fan itself.
What you have is pretty common. I've come across it many times.
The fan may last as long as one that doesn't make that noise or it may not....it's impossible to say.

As I said....if it didn't bother me....I would just keep an eye on it.
The thing is.....fans that don't make that noise fail all the time too.....so basically I just make sure my fans are spinning.

....and if you have multiple case fans....and lose just one....even if you don't realize it....I think there's a good chance you aren't going to hurt anything because the other fans will still cool things......the rig will just run a bit hotter.
If it's your only case fan.....that's a different story.

I have installed 2 F140 forward intake, 2 F120 top outtake and 1 Corsair ML120 pro, all replacing former 3 stock Sharkoon fans. Temp are now fine, everything 35-40, 60 in game and 65 max full load after all those changes, so i dont think i will have dangerous temp if 1 of the 2 forwars stops sudderly. They are all quite new so i do not know if i should RMA on this one or just dont care, making is spin weird for those seconds (it works perfectly when it stays the RPM i set in BIOS) and when (if) it brake totally just check if Arctic 10 years warranty is good.

Fact it is i am a bit bored to replaced it (RMA, sending package, reinstall the old one while waiting the next one and reinstall the new one again) so i do not know if it is worth the effort.
