I've just built my gaming rig - i5 4690k 3.5ghz, gtx 970 SC, MSI Z97 Mobo, 16gb ram. The fans already make quite a lot of noise, but it's tolerable. However when loading up games one fan appears to become very load and annoying. For example loading up Sims 4 is fine, when actually playing it the sound suddenly starts and temporarily stops when clicking objects within the game. As far as I can tell it's not the CPU fan or the GPU as I've maxed them both temporarily and not achieved the same sound. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Solution
Loud fans almost always mean one of two things: one of the blades are bent or the fan is going out/is defective. Check the blades in the fan to make sure they are not bent or anything like that and from there, try plugging the fan into a different port on the board; that might help, but don't hold your breath on it.
