So I am relatively new to PC gaming and I had a question..I have been trying to figure out the source of a buzzing sound coming from my PC when I play some games. I ruled that it couldn’t be the case fans since the sound instantly increases and decreases based on the graphics settings. It ca either be my GPU or my CPU fan..and I don’t think its the PGU since its a GTX 970..one that is supposed to be the quietest GPU ever made.
Also, this info may help the most:
When I play AC3 at ultra settings at like 1080p or 1440p, the buzzing is really loud and it is at 60 fps. However, when I turn the resolution to 4k with DSR just for the giggles and play it at 30 fps..it becomes MUCH quieter. I would think it would become louder due to more power being used..but perhaps high framerate heats it up more than using more power.
Based on this info, what do you think the fan buzzing is coming from? The integrated GPU fan or the CPU fan?
