I got new magetic fan from corsair they have 4 pin to replace my noctus 450 case fan who have 3 pin, they plug in to my cases for digital regulator right on the case but since case has 3 pin my fan 4 wondering what best thing to do buy adaptor or plug it in and go wondering how to plug it right and will i still have me same controle whit my case ?....

Solution
The fans are controllable, but only with proper 4-pin PWM implementations. 3-pin speed control can damage the fans.

The fan controller for the case uses 3-pin speed control. It is NOT compatible with the ML series fans.

The motherboard has 2 chassis fan headers and 1 CPU fan header. All three are compatible with the ML series fans. Assuming the CPU header will not be available, you cannot safely run 6 ML series fans with your setup.

Some fan controllers do have proper 4-pin PWM implementations, and you would be able to use all 6 fans if you were to get one of those. That said, they are rare and expensive. The only one that I know of off the top of my head is the Corsair Link Commander Mini. That controller is compatible with the ML...
With almost any other fan, you could plug it into the 3-pin connection, and you'd be fine.

Not with that fan. The ML series has a magnetic bearing that will periodically decenter when used with 3-pin speed control. This will result in the fan bearing gouging the outer race and destroying the bearing. It won't be immediate, but will happen within a few months if you run the fans at low speeds. Your only option is to leave it on full blast if you use a 3-pin connection, or get one of a very few 4-pin fan controllers.

Most 4-pin fan controllers leave the fourth pin disconnected and simply use 3-pin fan control, so you have to be VERY careful when selecting one. The only one that I know is safe for use with that fan is the Corsair Link Commander Mini.

That motherboard will support those fans on any of it's fan headers.

You just need to go into BIOS and make sure that they're set to PWM mode. If you leave them in DC mode or plug them into the case's fan controller you can damage the bearings.

I was told that my case is digital controller threw software for it that why I bough the fan to control them whit the case plus I am getthing 6 fan will my motherboard really control and take all 6 of them so your telling me my case and my fan are not controllable and compatible ???
