Fan configurations and RPM

Hi guys, trying to set up my case fans, i was wondering what would produce the same amount of air flow, but at lower noise.

More fans spinning with lower RPM
or
Less fans spinning with More RPM

More fans at lower RPM. One fan (unless its 200mm) can't replace 2 fans (assuming they're atleast 120mm), even at high fan speeds.

This, but if you want lower sound get a nice fan. Even at the same speed there are great diferences between fans is sound volume and even more important in sound frecuence.

Also take into account that a high airflow could generate noise depending on the case layout.
