I have a Lenovo 36C5 motherboard, and I cannot find the fan setting in bios...
If the motherboard has four pin slots for fans, doesn't it mean that it has ability to
control the fan speed??
I bought a 4 pin case fan, and since I cant control it, it's going at maximum speed over 2700 rpm.
Is there anyway I can control it ????

Also, I tried to use the speedfan program, but for some reason, it cannot detect my fan under configuration..

Solution
Not necessarily 4 pin header on motherboard means PWM control ability. Sometimes the 4th pin is not connected (by design). However even with 3 pin headers the fan can be controlled by voltage control - IF motherboard has such option. Can't tell more about your case since I could not find any data on your motherboard - but if you are sure there is no fan control options in BIOS, then it is possible the mobo was designed to run fans full speed.
