Fan control on this case

I am getting a NZXT h440 case. The maximum fans I can put on it is 7. It has the fan "controller" on the back of the case to plug your fans in. My motherboard is the asus z97-a atx, I'm not too sure how many fans you can connect to this mobo. Or if I have enough fan slots should I connect the fans to the mobo? If anyone has any suggestions on how I should work my fans please feel free to help!
