hey everyone!

I wanted to stick a Sentry 3 into the side panel HDD drive of my Corsair 760T (the lower 5.25" drive bays at the bottom of the case that you can open the side panel window to) it would sit in there and connect to all my SP120 Corsair Static fans.

these fans run on Static Pressure with PWM's that I can hook up to my motherboard (Asus Maximus VI Formula)

Should I get the Sentry 3 for fan controller or use the controller that I assume is coming with the motherboard after I install it?? What's a better option...or can you use both? and with the motherboard fan controller -- would it just be able to control all the fans connected to the headers through its GUI or a program?

The motherboard won't come with a distinct fan controller, you control the fans either through the bios, or through fan xpert 2 software. Your mobo can handle 6 case fans and 2 cpu fans, so unless you like the aesthetic or have an extreme amount of fans you should be alright without one.
