Fan Defective?

I have never used the stock fan before for a build. I am currently building a E4300 rig that will be clocked at 3 ghz for someone. Anyway the stock fan will not turn on unless I nudge it. Do I need to buy a new fan?

Just make sure that SMART FAN in BIOS is disabled. This maybe the reason why it doesn't start at first. Try that first.

I had that exact same problem with the stock fan on my Scythe Ninja. When I first powered up it didnt spinn. I gave it a spin to help start it and then it took off and has worked.
