What is a good fan for the 120 Extreme?

Everyone says the Scythe S-Flex, but Scythe makes ones with better air circulation......

S-Flex http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185006 63.7cfm

Ultra-Kaze http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185054 133.60 cfm

or Slip Stream http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185060 110.31 cfm

The Ultra Kaze (does it fit with 38mm thickness) and Slip Stream has more circulation so why do people choose the S-Flex?

Slip Stream is new. It's their redesign of the S-Flex as far as I can remember. I have 3 sitting on my desk (2 1200s and one 1600) and they are pretty quiet.

Personally I have a Cooljag Everflow PWM mounted on mine.

The wire clips may not fit a fan that thick, but one can always rig something up. A fan controller will help with the noise generated from that fan. It pushes a lot of air 133 cfm, real powerful.

Yea I took a table saw to mine to make mine work. The clips fit into the rear screw holes so you can't have the front and back screw holes connected with a piece of plastic.

The new fans may push more air but how well do they handle back pressure? If it's pushing 133cfm it's got to be loud. Is it not? Can the bios control the speed of these fans? Are they PWM?

Cooljag is PWM. I hate PWM because it goes up and down and is more annoying to me than anything else. 3.26mm Static on that one.

Slip Stream is not and doesn't push as much air (90 CFM @ 1600 RPMs). Don't have stats for static pressures on Slip Streams.

The clips will work with ANY thickness as long as it's open around the sides. The clips snag into the rear mounting holes so any thickness can be used.
