Fan help and question

Hi guys, i have a question about my computer. My PC has been running a little hot so i dwnloaded speed fan(4.49) to check my temps and stuff. On it, it says fan1 as 0 rpm and around 35C and fan2 as 1440 and around 43C. Is it normal for my fan1 to say that? I also looked in to my computer and I saw that my sysfan_1 on my mobo plug is empty but my cpu fan1 is plugged in and running. So, is this normal? http://imgur.com/fMKmAR3
Also should I plug the highlighted plug in to the sysfan_1?

No!
That the CPU fan keep that in CPU Fan 1.

Sysfan_1 is empty, which means if you wanted to you could attach another fan there.

If you're tech savvy you could try replacing the thermal paste on your CPU. If you're interested, let me know, I'll tell you how to apply it properly.
