I decided to switch out my 2 front 3 pin 120mm fans for 2 Arctic 140mm 4 pin PWM fans. I thought the bigger fans would run cooler and quieter, automatically with PWM. However the noise is considerable (like a jet plane). I can see and hear the fans are changing speed due to PWM, but I dont understand why they are running so fast and nosily. HWINFO shows the new fans are running on average at a similar speed to the old 120mm fans.
HWINFO shows the new fans are making all the components (cpu, mobo, sytem, VR Mos) on average 4 degrees cooler on each. How can I keep the system cool with the noise of wind turbines?
