I'm in need of some help.
I require 8 fans for my build but my board only has 6 fan header, so i've decided to get this fan hub: http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-All-Black-CPF04/dp/B00VNW556I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
My cpu cooler will be a noctua nhd15 which has 2 fans.
My question is, since I cant plug in both fans into the cpu fan header can i plug in the the main lead from the fan hub into the cpu fan header and then plug in my two cpu fans into the hub and use it that way, will it still work fine?

Solution

I guess I could just have two fan splitters installed one for the cpu fans and one for the top fans and have my problems solved, but wont connecting two fans to one header mess up something with the voltages or something along those lines (It's my first build, not that experienced).

No most newer motherboards can support up to 4 fans on one header.
A few fans will only allow 2 as they are extreme rpm fans that draw a lot of current. Noctua industrial models and Delta screamers.
Your case fans and CPU fans will run just fine with a splitter.
I have a few in my case because the motherboard did not have enough fan headers.
