I have an nzxt 200mm fan with a blue LED and it uses a 2 pin connector, i used the 2 pin to molex that came with it to connect it to the PSU but the wire started to melt and obviously got really hot. What is the problem? is there another way that i am supposed to power the LED on the fan? If it means anything i am using a corsair AX860. Please help ASAP

Solution
It has 2 different sets of wires coming out of it, one of them is to switch the fan Led on and off, and the other is to power the fan, make sure you have the correct one connected to the power supply. The LED wire is just supposed to go to the small switch that was included with your fan, the power actually comes from the same power wire that the fan motor uses.

I know this is long-dead, but where do you actually plug in the switch itself?
