I just purchased a new antec case. After assembling everything and turning it on, I noticed that one of internal fans was making a "projector noise". I'm referring to the same noise you would hear if you were in a movie theater sitting in the back near the projector. I'm unsure as to what may be causing this. None of the other fans are making this noise.

Is this normal, or something to be concerned about? Its pretty annoying, but I'm not sure what antec would say considering the case is under warranty since I just bought it.

What do you guys think?

no, its making the same noise as if you were to take a piece of wire and put it slightly against the moving fan.

same noise as putting a playing card on a bicycle tire (except obviously softer)

oh that noise...well open up the pc and see if there are any wires near any of the fans...even check the cpu fan. is this a new build or a previous build just in a different case? are u sure its one of the cae fans or is the noise coming from the psu fan cause theres many wires in there... :)

You've got something rubbing against the fan, or got some crap in it.

Move all wires and whatnot out of the way of the fan and if that doesn't fix it then get a can of compressed air and give the fan a good blow to remove any rubbish.

If it still does it you probably have a dodgy fan, so either return the case or contact Antec for a replacement fan.
