[SOLVED] Fan noise at low cpu load

Hello, my english is not good. My computer is old, motherboard is Gigabyte, CPU is Intel core2quad Q9550 2.83 GHZ.

My cpu load is changing between %15 and 25 normally. My torrent program uses variable cpu all time. I need that program so I can't close it.

So my cpu fan is accelerating and slowing down (quickly) during the day. It makes noise and I want to reduce this.

I installed speedfan but it seems a little complicated to me.

If my fan starts to accelerate at % 25 CPU load , can I change it to %35 or % 40 ?

In bios there are only 2 fan settings, "constant " and "automatic".

Can you help me?

Solution
Might be worth checking your CPU temperatures first, rather than CPU load. Paste on the CPU might be old, CPU cooler might be dusty. Fan profile should be more balanced on Its own with those things fixed, if they're a problem.

My core temps are between %50 - %58 at no load. Isn't it normal?

By no means terrible but if setup correctly you can make it 30-40 degrees, higher would explain the CPU fan noise you hear.

ok I think about my Fan quality and about cooling.

One more question: Speed of fan depends on "CPU load" or CPU temp? i am really looking for an answer to this.
