Fan not spinning upon start-up?

I recently put a new fractal design 80mm fan into my case and I've noticed that upon startup - it doesn't spin. I gave it a nudge with my finger - and it spins fine with no stoppages.
Is there any fix to this? I don't want to have to open my case up every time I startup just to get a little fan spinning.

Does the fan start on its own after the system has been on for a little while? If it's plugged in to a motherboard header that has a fan profile set up then the fan might not start until it reaches a certain temp.

All right, I'll try boot without touching the fan, and see what happens. I did however view the fan with the case lid off - and it seems to be getting the increased volt for it to spin up - but only jolts a little.
