frozenlead Splendid Feb 6, 2006 4,610 0 22,960 Oct 28, 2009 #2 Your notebook's fan is programmed to shut off when not needed. Are you sure it's always off? If your fan really isn't working, you're going to need to replace it. It's not hard to do. Who told you to never open your notebook, and why?
