Fan on 9800 pro too noisy

Hi,

I've installed a 9800 pro in my Shuttle barebone.
When the case is closed the fan of the Radeon is quite noisy since it is
only about 2cm away from the case. Has anybody an idea what I could do? Is
it necessary to have a fan with so high RPM on the graphics card or are
there any "mods"?
Any other ideas?

Zalman or artic cooler.

The Zalman ZM80A-HP on mine is pretty quiet and I can overclock to 450MHz
core without problems, so it doesn't appear to be a compromise...

Good idea, but impossible since there's not enough space in my barebone. 🙂

Looks like the active cooling solutions may not require an additional slot.
